Issued in November , “Machine Gun Etiquette” was more than a valediction. A thrilling, wild ride, it took in hyper-speed, guitar-driven pop, psychedelic pop and surreal pop songs drawing from the girl’s comic Bunty and Vanian’s fascination with Hollywood .

Jul 01,  · Rejoining forces without Brian James, who pursued his own interests from then on (only hooking up with the band again for a late-'80s "farewell" show), the remaining three brought in young Saints veteran Ward on bass, recorded an album, and hoped for the best. That best proved much better than expected; while singles ended up on the charts, Machine Gun Etiquette itself was deservedly .

gram Standard Issue Vinyl. Machine Gun Etiquette is the third album by seminal punk-rock group, The Damned, and the first one without guitarist Brian James. As their first album helped to establish the still vague punk generation, Machine Gun Etiquette helped to define the post-punk genre.
